Empty words

Maybe what they call a white lie

I'm sick of these words
That are meaningless
Yet endless
That are used often
But carry no weight
Only used as bait

They carry no warmth whatsoever
Used by whoever
Especially whenever
They need a favour
Just daring
Without caring

They don't come from the heart
As they used to
They are words
People got used to
They aren't special no more
They don't matter anymore

It's sad how
I can't believe a word you say
Since nothing is sincere
Even our once dear
'I'm sorry '.
