So close

So beautiful
Only to admire from a far
No matter how high I climb
You are always higher
No matter how fast I run
You are always faster
No matter how good I am
You are always better
I thought I could see
But your bright light has left me blind
I thought I could hear
But your glorious sound has left me deaf
I thought I was sensible
But thinking about you has left me senseless
You coloured my world
Until you faded
I thought you could fill the void
Thinking you were real
But you are just a dream.
