A mile away

It is about a lonely person who has no one to rely on and no one understands her

She is torn
She is alone
She only needs a home
But no one notices
They see her as a misfit
As the one who can't mix with
The people in the room
Leaving her gloom
She tries to be strong
Acting all tough
As someone who you can't mess with
When she only needs someone to be with
No one sees her pain
No one hears her sobs
It's sad how the only thing she needs
Is always a mile away.

Oh wow, what a deep poem, it's very sad when you can be surrounded by people and yet they don't see the person's pain,.

It is such a sad state of affairs in our human world that anybody who is different in any way is always rejected. Not everybody fits in with the norm, we are all different as chalk is to cheese. You paint a very emotional and moving write in this excellently penned poem for your reader. Somebody who needs love, protection, warmth, care, a nice home to live in, but isn't receiving it puts on an act of being tough and I feel it is in order to protect herself, bless her. It's so sad that as human beings we are not all empaths. Only some are able to understand another's pain, unhappiness, tears, wants, needs. That is how life is, that is how we are as human beings.
