Heat

Heat

A Poem by Blackbird95

It's hot outside
How draining the sun can be
Solar powered dehydration
Burns the life out of me.

Blisters on my back
Burns on my feet
Sweat in my eyes
Drained from the heat

My hometown is cold
This place is not
Used to yearly snow
But this place is too hot.

A mile seems like ten
When sweat stains my shirts
The humidity is fine
It's the Sun's rays that hurt.
