Lullaby Without Sound

Lullaby Without Sound

A Poem by Brandon Taylor-Black
"

A lullaby of silence....

"

Moonbeams passage on a satin sky
Illuminating diamonds set up high
A stillness, a silence so profound,
A midnight lullaby, without a sound
Moonlight calls tomorrow and the sun
Whispering on the breeze, "Become, become"
O'er oceans vast and cities small
The night shall rise, the day doth fall
Moonlight shadows on hills and dales
Soon give way as midnight sails
Sailing to another night far away
Today is tomorrow, tomorrow, today
Moonbeams passage on a satin sky
Illuminating diamonds set up high
A stillness, a silence so profound
A midnight lullaby, without a sound

I found myself singing this out loud as a slow, soothing lullaby with a fantasy element to it (which could be based on what kind of melody it's matched with). =) I think it would make a beautiful little song, let me know if you decide to turn it into one someday haha!

This is the first of your work I've read, but I can honestly say I'm hooked. I love how you make everything flow effortlessly.

I found this poem to be very soothing. As an insomniac I am often up to listen to midnight's lullaby. It is a very peaceful time of night for me. Thanks for sharing!
