Close My Eyes, Forever

Close My Eyes, Forever

A Poem by Brandon Taylor-Black
"

I want her face, to be the last thing I see

"

When my number has been called
And darkness takes me home
I'll close my eyes just one last time
Close my eyes Forever

I'll close my eyes to keep your face
With me when I go
To who knows where
And I don't care
As long as I'm with you

Close my eyes forever
Breath, the final sigh
Though my eyes are closed forever
It will not be Goodbye

I loved this essence of romantic poem. Yes! Their faces are etched on our minds eye forever, you make death sound quite attractive, but we all know, it is his call we wait for and not the other way around, as has been happening in Britain with our teenagers lately....suicide is not an option in Tai's book. Sorry for using this beautiful poem to express such a sentiment, but I have three teenagers myself and Wales is very close to my heart and borders. Nice to meet a poet of such romantic style....this is dark, but I expect quite bright, if your bio is anything to go by. It is never Goodbye when love catches our eye. Smiling at the thought, Tai
