Into A Book, Unread

Into A Book, Unread

A Poem by Brandon Taylor-Black
"

Into A Book, Unread...we are all chapters in the play of Life

"

Velvet dreams caressed by cold steel
Hearts that beat but never feel
The eyes that watch but never see
Sins of the father and heir

Hopes we lost, but still maintain
Young men playing old mens games
Isn't it time that we refrained
From stepping into Satan's Lair

Blinded eyes that see the truth
Pretty words from mouths, uncouth
The church Shaman delivers you
Unto your earthy bed

A life is done, but just begun
Delivered to a Martyred Son
A written God, Scribed by one
Into a book, unread

Everyday is like a chapter in a book, you never know what the day will bring.
Some are easier to read then others.
Well done with this piece. great write.
