A Day In Time

A Day In Time

A Poem by Brandon Taylor-Black

In break of dawn
Of hope, withdrawn
Ripped from the chronicles of yore
In azure haze
Of summer daze
We create our ghosts along the way

In evenings musk
Golden dusk
Severed from this mortal husk
On nights like this
Beyond the mists
That linger, like a lovers kiss

Into darkened skies
Our wishes fly
Along with a thousand lullabies
On wings, unseen
We see the scenes
Of a thousand lifetimes in our dreams
