My Former Child

My Former Child

A Poem by Brandon Taylor-Black
"

An old piece, but I like this one

"

        The yellowing photograph of you
The torment that you put me through
Aching heart that beats so loud
The corpse of Romance in the ground
The dagger twists and leaves a mark
Incinerates with single spark
The callous glee with which you smiled
Returned me to my former child

Whoah,
'The callous glee with which you smiled
Returned me to my former child'
Seriously introspective stuff here, this is short but rife with longing
Nice read, Draven

The corpse of Romance in the ground

This line is definitely worth it, very clever and thought provoking.

It may be an old piece, but it is a great piece non the less.
Short and simple plus straight to the point.
Our former child dissapear's as we grow older, but we still act like our inner child.
