Who Are These

Who Are These

A Poem by Brandon Taylor-Black
"

I have no idea what this piece is about

"
        Who are these
Within citadels of skin
The Heaven Chorus
The throatless, voiceless
Carved of stone

Who are these
Of windowglass substance
Ashen features
Wingless creatures
Marble miscreants

Who are these
Of gilded flesh
Hoof and horn
In crypt boudoirs
Sultry Sandstone seductresses

Who are these
Of deepest dreams
Bring me to my knees
Like falling leaves

Who are these?
