Feelings of a first time father.

A sudden adrenaline rush

A speedy drive into the unknown

Seven long hours to wait

Anticipation of the love

And what is to come

Is it time?

Greeted with shrieking cries

Cleaned, weighed and wrapped

Ten fingers, Ten toes

Happy and Healthy

Responsibilities and changes

Rush through my mind

Is this what it feels like?

What am I supposed to do?

Will we be ok?

Will I be good at this?

In the midst of breakdown,

You were placed in my arms

For the very first time

So small, so fragile, so perfect

Deep blue eyes

Sandy blonde hair

This is it, the time is here!

Questions, are all gone

This feels right

I can do this

We will be just fine

My life has changed
