Lost in HazelA Poem by DmandmanLover caught in the others eyes.
Artfully and intelligently described as windows to the soul,
The perfect blend of blue and brown supplemented by an extra stroke of green. Dark, however bright enough to lighten any mood, Viewed, caught, and seen currently by digital means. Intoxicating dark amber stars, twinkling, beaming and shining has me; Mesmerized, stuck, glued, and hypnotized by the bare soul I see! Naked, exposed, raw and stripped of all life’s extras, perfectly unmasked. Disoriented by past memories, the what’s, the why’s and the how’s. Indecision, inanity and misjudgment abound, but still concise, pure. Romanticized over and over again, partial sight of an imperfect history. Discretion noted but tossed aside by a yearning, lust and deep need, Noticeable visions of what could be, reflected into these windows, my soul. Historically accurate manifestations of memories, displayed before me. Valuable times of learning, ever stuck in the forgettable past, Breathed new life in hesitations, reticent thoughts, and I can’t believe I did that’s. Unknown fear, visible, yet hidden behind layers of could this really be, Completely strange, albeit bizarre; but wonderful, extraordinary and remarkable! Examination unnecessary, a welcome awareness of how right this feels; Perception of the past creeping in, but somehow doesn’t linger, fading quickly. Cognizant and Vigilant, impossible yet believable, futile but somehow logical! Dreams while asleep, yet conscious and aware, does this have to end? Staring, gazing, peering and glaring all at these perfectly hazel eyes, Distinctly lost, yet hopefully found a new excitement through and through.
