My silent plant

My silent plant

A Poem by Desmond
"

Expressing how I feel about my plant. I love it like a family member and as I water I some speak to and makes feel like am losing it.

"
My silent plant.

Part of my family, you’ve always been.
Earth is our home; the flower pot is Eden.
We are a union of Chlorophyll and melanin.
Chlorophyll gives you an ever-green colour.
Melanin determines my skin colour.

I still however, don’t know your language.
Your leaves seem to speak sign language.
The leaf colour depicts seasonal change.
Their brightness shows being well watered.
You are yet to utter a word.

Sometimes people give bias verdicts.
I hence share with you some problems and secretes.
Hope I’m not taking advantage of your silence.
Golden is your silence.
It feels better than biasness and verdicts.

I wish you could tell me when you’re thirsty.
If you could tell me if I water you in time.
If you could talk, what would you say to me?
Oh how I wish I knew how you feel about me.
Maybe by Darwin’s theory you’ll evolve and answer me.
