A "man"A Poem by DaryleKennSarcastic outlook on men with a southern take.I met me a man today, I aint call out his name or nothing, didn't even look in his direction. Nothing about me was too special today, I was just sitting there minding my business, when he rolled up in that Volkswagen. And not the new one eitha Last years model or maybe the year before that He was Looking real sharp Real nice lookin guy. Stepped outta that car in an all-white suit on a rainy day. It wasn’t anybody's Armani But it sure was white Who did he think was Jesus! Ha, the nerve. He walks right up to me, spits out his tobacco and Opens his mouth showing teeth golder than daddy’s watch He told me I was pretty, real pretty . . . said he Got money and a big house I asked him what he does, He told me a lil girl shouldn’t question a man Oh mama, I met me a "man" today, Right there in 5wards park. His mouth was slicker than a snake. He just reached out to me & ran his fingers through my hair just like this Didn't ask if I minded. didn't even ask my name. . . Said it was a nice color reminded, him of his wife's hair Cept, my hair got a different texture to it and he likes my texture better told me I was pretty . . . just real pretty. that if I didn't have a husband just from my looks than I must be somebodies w***e. a w***e mama. . . He kept playing in my hair and looked me in my eyes and said he was gone leave his wife just for me .... for me, The pretty girl with the nice hair . . . And gone move me in that big house with him. "A man takes care of his woman," he said. then let out a laugh that showed all his gold watches . . . Oh yeah mama i met me a man today © 2018 DaryleKenn
