Lost

Lost

A Chapter by Dj TaeV

Have you ever felt so frustrated with yourself that you just wanted to pull your whole hair out and scream at everyone who looks at you not to say talks to you. Yeah, well I have. Multiple times. And this was just one of those times.

The reasons are silly really, sometimes after I cool myself down, I look back at things and think of myself being an idiot stressing over little things. I can already see myself with really bad wrinkles in a year or two.

But anyways let me start from the beginning.

A week ago I moved here to Platville with my parents because of their jobs. I know people would usually be upset with moving to another town and leaving their friends behind but that wasn't an issue with me cause I had too many bad memories there so I took this opportunity to start a new.

At first the biggest problem was my first day of school. Let's be honest everyone wants to fit in. So I somehow managed to survive my first day of school and found a few people to hang around while at school. Those people knew a lot of people so I ended meeting a lot of new people. The people I met were actually really nice to me so that came as a relief but considering me being me I can't remember half of their faces not to say names.

Now my biggest problem is trying not to be rude to people I met and now I don't even remember them and finding my way around school which is like a friggin maze of hallways and I always get lost.

I memorized my way to and from school so I didn't have a problem with that till now.

Yeah so I was going from school when the rain came pouring down on me and me being on foot without an umbrella is absolutely not a problem, not at all.
And the fact that I have forty-five minutes from school to home on foot is just fantastic. In fact, I have never been happier when I realized that I have no idea where I am-note the sarcasm.

When it started raining I started running looking for a shelter and lets just say I took a few turns to God knows where and I have absolutely no idea what to do.

So you are probably thinking don't you have a car or why didn't you ask for a ride from those 'many friends' of yours and the answer is I don't have a car and Kelly (the first person I met here) and some of her friends did ask to give me a ride but I declined cause I knew these people for three days now and for all I know they could kidnap me and kill me and sell my organs to some psychopaths.

To make things worse my phone died and I had only some black ripped jeans and plain gray shirt on.

To say I was soaking wet was an understatement. My light brown hair that reached mid back was soaking and was all messed up because of the wind and my wet shirt was sticking to my body which was really annoying if you ask me.

I was freezing and tired, I just wanted to go home but I guess that would take time.

After a while of running around in a search for human beings I simply gave up.

So here I am, sitting on a bench staring at nothing in particular, while waiting for someone to pass by so I could ask for directions.

I was thinking about how this day couldn't get any better when those cold rain drops suddenly stopped falling on my skin.

Confused I lifted my gaze up till my green eyes found another black pair. I tilted my head to the side a little in a confused manner as I watched a guy that stood beside me, one hand holding an umbrella above my head.

He was dressed in black jeans and black hoodie on top on which was written ARMY in the middle. He was tall probably around 6.2'. He had strong features with strong jaw and messy hair on top.

But what really caught my attention is how familiar that face looks to me, I'm sure I saw him somewhere before.

"Ashley?" I heard him say and I quickly shook my head as to focus on what was happening.

"How do you know my name?" I asked completely confused.

He placed his hand on his chest in mock hurt "Gee you hurt my feelings. We go to the same school dumbass. Did you already forget about me? Now this is awkward." He finished with straight face but I could see amusement behind those eyes.

And then it hit me. The guy standing before me was best friend of Kellys boyfriend. I met him through Kelly on my first day of school but I haven't seen him ever since.

"Ooh yeah, C-Cody right?" I replied with a smile, pleased with myself that I remembered his name.

He just stared at me with squinted eyes for a while after which he replied "Its Cole." He said irritated. I mentally face floored myself as I prayed for earth to swallow me alive." Yeah this was a bad idea, what was I even thinking" he continued as he turned to leave but before he could get away I grabbed his hand and he turned his head to me with a cocked brow "I'm really sorry Cole, I didn't mean to be rude. I'm really bad with faces and names, I don't tend to remember them quickly, especially with meeting so many people at once." I said with pleading tone.

He studied me for a while before he started tugging me by hand so that I would stand "C'mon what are you doing here on the rain, you'll get sick."

"Oh yeah I kind of got lost, could you point me to the..." And yup, of course my mind had to go blank on that important information. I swear my mind only memorizes lyrics and music, other information like where I live are according to my brain totally irrelevant.

"Don't tell me you don't know where you live?" He said, the corner of his mouth going upwards in annoying smirk.

"I know I just can't remember right now." I said with a huff.

"Sure you do. Are you sure you didn't hurt your head recently and got amnesia or something?"

"Shut up." I hissed as he chuckled.

"Come on my place is really close to here and when you remember where you live I'll drive you home." He propped simply.

I squinted my eyes at him and considered my options. I could either sit here and wait for someone else, which is pointless now that I realized I have no idea how my street was called and could get really sick while doing so, or I could go to this guys apartment and get warm, on the other hand, I knew nothing of this boy and that is exactly why I declined many ride offers.

"Umm..." I started.

"Oh come on I don't bite...only if you want me to." he said with a wink.

Yeah, that totally convinced me to go through with my first option.

"Yeah, nope, I'm fine, I really like this rain, yeah it's so.... wet and so clear its so wonderful it makes me want to soak in it forever..." I continued blabbering nonsense as he rolled his eyes and bent down and threw me over his shoulder as I squeaked in the process.

"Put me down you organ stealing freak!" I shouted while hitting his back on which he just chuckled and started walking.

Is this how I die?
