Nothingness

Nothingness

A Poem by Jessica Lima

I run away from all that's good

And made my own path.

When the thorns cut me deep

I chose to ignore that.

When offered help,

I averted my eye.

And pretended that my soul,

 And body had not died.

As days turned to weeks,

And weeks turned to nights.

The cold lurked in

And yet I didn't fight.

When my blood leaked out

Its warmth touching my skin

Only then I realized

The numbness I felt within.

About
I'm kind of a big dork. Very, VERY geeky. I love poetry, and that's 90% of what I write. Life is chaos, and Poetry... isn't. It is something you can control, that's why my poetry always rhymes. I love.. more..
