The Break Up

I am strong enough to stand beside you and reach for the stars

But right now you are on the spotlight, and I am in the dark.

I can't carry on as is love, one day you'll understand.

I'll miss you and might regret this later

But please let go of my hand.

Break up... awful feeling... that can last... forever
until you decide to move on, which is hard...
This poem told me behind the lines, the emotions and feelings of sadness, and the helplessness when the character told to let go of my hand....

Yes this is a very short poem, but it's also a very powerful poem. It's hard to convey complex emotions in a short space, but you have just done exactly that, and pretty epically as well. Beautiful, and tragic. Great piece.
