An A-Z Poem

An A-Z Poem

A Poem by Danni

A lasting kiss of blissful demise
Bane of existence; fruitless but alive

Calls of wanderers, soulless and lost
Daring sirens loudly sounding off

Ending but starting, repeating again and again
Fanged creatures reaching towards an approaching end

Growling, ensnaring those unappeased
Hateful individuals trapped whom strive to leave

Indolent juveniles caught in a fiery storm
Jarred by feelings, confused by the feelings they adorn

Knit into an interwoven, tangled knot
Left to be strangled in their personal thoughts

Monstrous clawing things creeping like a thorn in one's side
Not to be ignored, they take their victims on a senseless ride

Opposite emotions idly conflicting within
Pulling, tugging, and wrenching all individual sins

Quiet silence, abhorred blankness of the mind setting in
Rational thoughts in balance, yang and yin

Satiated hunger that had come from the grotesque monsters of the mind
Turning, twisting, shaping, and shifting time

Useless lifts of unparalleled joy
Voicing and invoking what appears to be almost coy

Waning hopeful aspirations slowly fade away
Xeroxed pages of life so cluttered, like this they will always stay

Years of floundering, unachieved heights and rights
Zigzagging around, tangled with the alphabet in a (now) won fight
