Shocking Love

The electric shock, coursing through my veins

My love for you, unforgettable and inhumane

The beautiful aspects of life, which we forget too soon

My love for you, and then things you do

When the night becomes louder, and the atmosphere grows close

You're with me so, and I'm not alone

Hearts beating, one to one

And then you leave me, and our love is done

The callous thoughts running through my head; so unpredictable, and quite overwhelmingly sad

You wrecked a blossoming love that has now grown so undeniably wilted

It cannot prosper, it cannot grow

All our love has become, is a deadness of sorts, a flower dying in a patch of snow

And although our love will never be the same, our memories will last forever and again

The sky was the limit, now you've placed a barrier in that path

So farewell my love, and as we grow old

I hope you remember why you're left devastatingly, and truly, alone
