The End of the RainbowA Poem by DanniThe end of the rainbow Where many imagine a flourishing world Where many different appearances and ideals might otherwise be
A wide array of dazzling colors Which contains an end such as no other
A prosperous nation Lovely songs, beautiful voices Where rich aromas fill the air Gold shines bright, like a star floating in our heavens Diamonds sparkle and birds sing How, oh how, one wonders Could such a thing appear before an individual like me
But chaos strikes the rainbow Rain falls, the colors start to quickly disappear The elements conflict And as a house divided among itself cannot stand, The rainbow vanishes
Its eternal beauty is lost The rainbow's end has appeared
Seasons change, and rainbows do too Fortunately, when one ends One appears anew
So the rainbow's memory Lives on in the next And the pattern will continue Without ceasing to rest
The end of a rainbow is like a phoenix being reborn from its ashes When rain comes, it is reborn again Its admirable colors Coming to no specific end
