Crave

Crave

A Poem by Water Blakmon
"

Addicted to the words of a poet.

"
Poetry and she
Sneaks upon me
Like Love ballets
During darken dawns

Her words haunt me
Mysterious intrigues
I'll read it one more time
Another time ponder

Wonder if she has me
Deep in her spell
Her prose plucking
Corazon strings

Haunting me with songs
Visions of her lips
Dainty and lively
How I woke up

Insider her pen...she has me
Kissing me in cursive
Forming silken syllables
Spilling me on pages

Smearing my tears
On pages asking if I'm ok?
Careful not to erase
Any meaning

Write me out of you
Yet I remain
Stained you so
Slain with your pen

Can't comprehend
How I crave you so
Theatrical themes
Redeem me awhile

Dreams struck a mile away
From roads on fire
Force me to fly
Feasting on freedom

Reading you is a stillness...
