Lost in Supercenter Department Stores

Lost in Supercenter Department Stores

A Poem by Andrew Hahn
"

A Chinese man told me of production factories in China, upstairs they have super center department stores, and living quarters. So people can work, shop, eat, all in one big super center. Efficient!

"
I wonder as I wander through the filth, pilfer and plunder.
An ocean of devotion sound to set the sun asunder.

A rising moon pulls tidal gloom to shores of murky haunting.
And desire runs in wild packs of seven deaths of wanting.

Timbering through foundations proud with nations and empire.
And howling through the streets spreading the ash, and smoke, and fire.

I wonder as I wander toward my seat side silent pond.
And ponder once more yonder of what life I'd left beyond.

I am a writer not by choice. If it were up to me I would probably rather have been born a golfing virtuoso. Writers have bad skin and their posture is hunchbacked by the age 35 and not to mention..... more..
