God Eat God WorldA Poem by Andrew HahnThey are lyrics to a song I wrote in prison.
I woke up tasting decomposing
flesh, tongue, and decay. I'd been riding through the desert on a horse that had no legs. Sing Sing from the fields of cotton honey What will come of us? this is the dying of the age of Aquarius. Hi ho! Off to work we go clock in cluck cluck clock out cluck cluck Hi ho! I journeyed to the black hole I stood and spat in. Through melting eyes I watched the splitting of the atom. As dogs eat dogs and gods eat gods. I fold my hands and pray to strands of human DNA.
