Soldiers

Soldiers

A Story by Dixie Carnley
"

A poem dedicated to the men and women who are serving overseas.

"

Across the sea

Where ever they may be

Fighting for this land

Brothers and sisters they will band

Battle to protect us all

Some of them may fall

Steady as a beating drum

Hearts have gone numb

Loved ones cry

Others sigh

There are those that mask it

Soldiers are brought home ina casket

Mountains let their hearts be great

Please do not let it be too late

Spirits of the earth and sky

Eagles help their souls to fly

Soar home, soar home

From Miami to Nome

It does not matter where you roam

U.S. Soldiers, America is always your home
