A day in MarriageA Poem by DivyaniI made a cup of coffee, I watched it getting Cold, It slipped through the time untold, Like the union with my man, In the flick of the sight.
Amused and distraught, With aloofness and indifference, I held me with
abhorrence, As I forsook the ineluctable, for the mundane quests.
I stared at the cup again, Hoping for a taste bearable, With a fret in me immeasurable, In tremors, I
reached for it, Venturing for the unsure.
Then a habitual warmth, Bewitched me with admiration, Quilting my dubious cavitation, I turned to my man, Who held a hot cup of coffee, in his hand.
