A Story by M. Howell

I want to take you Everywhere. I’ve never been, but I hear it’s nice this time of year. The sandiest beaches and the tallest cities in all the worlds just lit up with your smile, and it’s high time we visited them all. I wanna stay up with you, past the dawn, on every square inch of this earth, then retreat into another dimension just to see what sort of trouble we can get ourselves into.

I’m standing in the center of a long grove of trees, each adorned with yellow flowers and blue leaves, as a slow, smooth breeze whistles through each branch…

…only trees don’t grow in this place…

…and only, we don’t breathe air…

…and only, yellow and blue are both members of a color spectrum we’ve not ever laid eyes upon…

...and only, every ordinary sound is thick in melody and we play music just to evoke the chimes of the non-musical, like the shriek of a kettle or the din of a baby crying...

…only we’re not there yet…we're still just dreaming.
