Object'ion

Object'ion

A Poem by DivineButterfly85
"

I gave this poem two titles...Object and Objection; I thought it was fitting.

"
In life I have met obstacles
That nearly tainted my perception
The world became a hollow place
Full of shame and deception
I danced on ice cold floors
With shards of glass between my toes
Each movement cut into my existence
Bleeding upon rows and rows
Nobody new my real name
They just laughed at my objection
I could not be what they wanted
So they caged me for their protection.

This is absolutely beautiful. I'm sure many people can see themselves in this, and "caged" can speak on many levels. Well done.
