Until the Eve Comes Again

Until the Eve Comes Again

A Poem by Endeavor
"

Unspoken emotions are like candlestick lighted for the night --- lives a temporary life and short-lived fire.

"

Singe

Your wick

In the darkest night;

Dance

Your flame

In a shadowy spite;

Hours pass with

A hiss

A sputter

A clamor

Of fiery words;

Flames

That blaze red

Soon smolder

To searing blue ---

Dawn,

Break the horizon

To need

Not of the candle;

Wind,

Choke away

Its life,

Cackles to quiet wisps ---

Rise

Your smoke

In scent of morose gray;

Whisper

In hushed breaths

Your unspoken emotions ---

Until the eve comes again.

Wasn't really sure what I thought of this poem. The wording in good and was the lining of this piece purposely indented that way? Anyway, I hope I didn't come off as brash, some poems catch me, but this one, I'm not sure. I will read it again.
