Morning Hymn to the Beloved

When miles away, we send our dearest thoughts to the wind

Dawn breaks with a gentle breeze,

Light pervades across the fields,

Yester rain has turned to dew ---

It’s time to start life anew.

 

Let strength blossom in your heart,

Make way for love to take part,

Today’s roads are miles too long ---

You’ll soon seek places to belong.

 

Hope will always find your hands,

Let kindness conquer these lands,

I pledge to stand by your side ---

As your dreams take off and glide.

 

Let me watch you from the skies,

Trust that fate utters no lies,

Two roads shall cross paths again ---

With you, my song will have no end.

Beautiful piece. The rhyming provides a nice charm and rhythm for the reader to follow along. Moreover, as you write each verse there is a gentle warmth--as if someone is silently guiding the lost from a far-- for those in need. An openness to love, freedom, and faith in self and fate is extremely evident. Kindly written, this piece is refreshing.
