Now, With a Heart

Now, With a Heart

A Poem by Endeavor
"

We learn to love something for real if we choose to feel

"

If my pen could write more

Than just a thousand words

Paint tales and good folklore

A fight of clashing swords ---

If my pen could make less

Of fear, grim, and hatred

Of rage and violence

Of war stories without end ---

If my pen could speak louder

For the cheers of success

Odes of the helpless bound

Hymns of the martyred, blessed ---

If my pen hears me now

Before my eleventh hour

I’ll reach my highest star

My dreams will never stray far ---

Oh, pen draw me a heart ---

Give me a brand new start.

Thank you very much! :)
Beautiful work and tone, you make the literary tone truly a malleable thing. the rhyming element is truly a nice touch as well, I hope that others will come to read more from you.
