The Crimson River

The Crimson River

A Poem by Diva81

It shines silver streams

As the crimson river flows

The pain only brief then comes relief

As the crimson river flows

From the smallest of wounds comes the biggest relief

As the crimson river flows.

Serenity engulfs her soul, calm, peaceful serenity.

As the crimson river flows.

The glint of the blade pierces the ivory skin

And the crimson river flows

The pain is over for now only hurt of the flesh remains

As the crimson river flows

In this moment only she can release the pain and torment from within

Scars can heal until the wounds are reopened

As the crimson river flows.

But if the wounds are contained within her soul how will they heal.

Her answer shines brightly and dances in the sun.

And then the crimson river flows.
