Not so much a poem as it is an acoustic song I am writing with a friend of mine for a music project we are currently working on.

Looking through the old photos the other day

I found pictures of you I thought I'd burned

I don't know what to really say

They remind me of mistakes, from which I learned

Sometimes, you need to be alone

To get hold of yourself

Bring it all back home

Everytime, I pass the spot where we shared our first kiss

I can't help but feel sadness

I remember all those shooting stars upon which we wished

For Eternal love and happiness

But I can't sit around, feeling sorry for myself

I know I'm worth it

I can't push myself aside anymore
