In This Grave

In This Grave

A Poem by L.D.Torr
"

An old Poem I wrote, when I was in my teens.

"

I feel consumed by this dark cloud

Hanging above my head

A constant reminder of my failure

Past oppression, pieces of me you've taken

I bled for you, still I bleed out

You watch me sink into this madness

Torn from sorrow, as my heart suffers

Suffocated inside the dismay

I break from you

Reach for the daylight

But the truth, still so clear to me

I've dug my grave over the years

So now, here I lay

Shattered and Beaten

Dead to the world

Filled with sorrow

Beautifully written. Reaching for the daylight but knowing you've dug your grave already and being dead to word. I definitely can relate to this well done.

I love the line 'dead to the world'. Been there.

Maybe I'm reading too hard, but this sounds like brutal heartbreak. If so, we've all been there. This has it's own beauty to it.
