TodayA Poem by dramamineYou’re the heretic, and I’m oh so synthetic. Covered up by all the cosmetics. Injecting myself with the sedative so that they can benefit. I’m diabetic and apathetic, been taking hits of generic. Made of plastic, I’m so posable, so disposable. I’m sociable yet unemotional. I’m beautiful yet mutable. Standing in line for my funeral. Forever waiting for their approval. This world of charming chaos. Full of blurred faces. Lacing the air with mace. Blinding the lonesome, burying the homeless. I died the moment I was born. Brainwashed by the porn they display. The ballet is now risque. Everything so cliche. Run away, only made it halfway. Say goodbye to yesterday, make way for today. © 2015 dramamineAuthor's Note
