Reflection

A Poem by dramamine
"

Make of it what you will

"

Tighten your corset.

Straighten your portrait.

Prepare for torment. Don’t forget the cement.

The children weep. The demon’s creep.

Prepare to sleep. They poison the chosen.

Frozen in time.

Don’t forget that you’re mine.

Prepare the shrine.

Your death wish has come true.

Come now, it’s long overdue.

Enter my lair. Say your prayer.

Bless this tragic affair.

My child don’t be scared. It’s only fair.

Gather ‘round my throne.

Throw a stone. Crush the bone.

Make sure they know.

My child don’t you see? Don’t try to flee it’s always been me.

It's pouring of rain right now where I live with heavy wind outside; I got a chill down my spine reading this piece of writing. I now have the feeling that somebody is standing outside my window, ready to call my name.
You should be proud of your writing. A young being with the writing of a thousand poets in your mind. Beautiful.

The type of rhyming confused me a bit, but I love it.
