YOU'RE NOT A STRANGER

YOU'RE NOT A STRANGER

A Poem by Connie MaryN
"

"Don't trust others people they change don't trust your heart it's not on the right side"

"

I've met liers
I know cheaters
I see pretenders
But none suit you.
You're a perfect designer,
You weave lies with great skill,
With elegant patterns.
You make them look prettier than truth.

I know great recipes,
I know cooking styles from abroad,
There are many wonderful cooks,
But none of them are like you.
You prepare noodles that strangle the truth,
You make me swallow them
And they taste delicious More than a vanilla cake, cornish or Mexican pasties.

I've taken long journeys,
I know how long it takes to navigate the earth.
To reach the peak of Everest,
And to dare attempt to convince you
To trust me with your secret truth is the same.
The good thing is that the journey to you
Has a shortcut and that's why
I am able to uncover your deceit.
