Fall to rise

Fall to rise

A Story by Dipanjan Dutta

The fall is acceptable as long as there would be a rise again. We might bleed but it is for nothing if it couldn't be wiped. Dignity is not affirmative unless it is earned. Realizations remain untrue in the mid summer nights when i breathe heavily, her head on my bare chest. Numb are we but beloveds of the night. And then the wait for a red dawn of insinuation.

Meanwhile I walk past the dead.

The opening line is incredible. It really sets the stage for the rest of the piece. You have a gift of expressing yourself in a short, concise form.....

Its poetic quality despite being a short story is quite remarkable. You never fail to impress.
