The Ballad of Loves PossibilitiesA Poem by Luis GabrielA ballad about what could beThe Ballad of Love’s Possibilities by Luis Gabriel
There once was a poor boy who loved a girl so, He loved her so much and she would never know How much this boy sincerely cared The coins of his love were a treasure not to be shared.
He tried to be kind and he tried to be good He tried to show her what he would What he would do to make her happy as can be Because when he was with her, he felt so free.
Yes, he loved truly and she would never know Yes, he loved truly and she would never know Ironically mysterious how love can grow It’s so ironically mysterious how love can grow
He wrote her poems and he wrote her lines Trying to express how much he could shine How much he could be for her And of how beautiful things could be, he was sure
But he knew that things must be taken slowly If he was willing to wait then he would have the key The key to her heart and the key to her soul And together they would take time to learn and grow
Yes, he loved her truly and she would never know Yes, he loved her truly and she would never know Ironically mysterious how love can grow It’s so ironically mysterious how love can grow
They could grow like saplings, verdant trees Intertwining together in a still dance eternally Modern day miracle in a cold world An example for all those lonely boys and girls
All this and more was there out of his reach The beauty of it all just took away his speech He wondered if she knew the possibilities Of just how beautiful this love could be
Yes, he loved her truly and maybe she would know Yes, he loved her truly and maybe she would know Maybe in time her love for him would grow Maybe in time her love for him would grow
