The Nighttime GuardianA Poem by Luis GabrielNighttime Guardian stands his ground While life drizzles and makes that Pitter patter pitter patter sound All as the earth breathes in God's lap.
Here I will sit and watch the guardian shine As I simply pray about what is on my mind You reap what you sow, so is that why you feel So low? No friend, it takes time, just let love grow.
So many places I would like to be, and have that Moonlight illuminate the way for me in a rocky beach To hear the crash and flow that goes on for an eternity To stand and watch as majestic waves carry me.
Yes, it seems to me that this would be an excellent place To be, to have my imagination and creativity stimulated Beyond all belief by the crash and flow of it all, just don’t Let it sting too much or the salt will leave your heart raw.
Here in the light of guardian and the embrace of ocean, here in some Time and some space, here God must live. Within and without Of my soul and I, here where I cannot be crushed nor stomped On, beyond the trill of song.... Here love must thrive with life. © 2008 Luis Gabriel |
