raw, immaculate dream

raw, immaculate dream

A Poem by Dionysian Gnostic

raw, immaculate dream

warm in the wicked frost of my spine

how clever the fingers of daylight

touch your hidden wonders

carefully sidestepping the shrieking echo

summoned by my angst

even as you slip into a blur

even as I slip into despair

there is a glimmer

a small token of kindness

an illusion

feeding a thirst of clenched fists

whispered talk of silver linings

amongst the grayest cloud-filled skies

a favorable weather report

amidst the naked dogma of truth

impervious to consciousness

in direct opposition to reason

a thin strand of serenity caught in the wind

just beyond my reach

it was always me

needing things to be this way

I've kept you safe

and in return

you visit me in my poison-gripped swoon

that really thin strand of serenity--yes, very thin...
there is still hope, but it is dwindling...

life isn't what it used to be, and people aren't relating to each other how they once did. but your poetry speaks to me on several levels...as for technique...love the style...the metaphor the personification...this is really good stuff.
Have to read more.

Well if we look on the bright side. There is always a chance....till there isnt. Such cliches are their own lies.

Always and with love,
