The Rag Doll

The Rag Doll

A Poem by Cherub Apathy

Drive my face to a grindstone

Break me at the knees

The same effect as you to this

The Rag Doll shows your destiny...

That of little pricks

And swollen lies

Stillhouettes

And prying eyes

Speechless fears

Into spaced you'd stare

Forever doomed to this horrific nightmare

The screaming silence

An echo in your head

Once one ride's over

The beast must be fed again

That soothing force

A blood rushed fist

One smack to the head

And you slip into bliss

The blossoming rose

Ultraviolet limbo

A flick of the rig and off you go

Follow the tracks

The vertical lines

Through the channels they lead

To your decaying end time

A hero-in life..

Is this what you are to be?

A scared up junkie doomed to die in a dream..

You're better than that and you've proven that fact

By putting down the rig and arose from the ash

Best of luck on your new journey brother

I cant wait to see how much healthier and stronger you'll be

We've been through it all

We've survived through the storm

Memories of shame and memories adored

We've soared the highest hills and fell in the darkest holes

We'll remember our past in toast to fat bowl

So it's goodbye for now

But only for awhile

Until we return to wreak havoc on this town
