[BEGIN]


Of all the places in the entire world that I could have been sent...

[Pause]

...they chose a forest. Sure I ain't new, but I work in cities. CITIES.

[Grunts; heavy footsteps; fauna rubbing against fabric]

I guess this is what happens when you give the newest lieutenant too much power. I mean, the guy just came out of boot camp and he's already first lieutenant -- just skipped an entire rank. At least he's pretty cool, unlike our last one, heh heh.

[Pause]

How did bandits trap our main route anyway? Didn't know they had that kinda ingenuity. Hmph. Sorta impressive all the way out he--

[Quick footsteps (left); Walking stops]

[Silence]

{Whispering} 'The hell was that?

[Silence]

[Fauna shifting (left); Sigh]

F****n' foxes.

[Walking continues]


--Comms silence until: 11:43 minutes--


[Walking stops; Uniform rustling]

[Pages flipping; scribbling]

Good clearing... 25 north... 13 east. Potential pathway... east.

[Collar shifts]

Been seein' weird s**t out here. I'm getting out of here befor--

[Fauna loudly shifting (Right); Twigs snapping (Right); Shotgun drawn]

[Silence]

{Whispering} That was a person. Ain't no f****n' human, though.

[Silence]

{Whispering} Jesus.

[Slow walking]

[Breathing hitches; Sprinting (Front); Gun shots]

FU--

[Comms silence]
