5 Haikus

5 Haikus

A Poem by k.d. taylor

1-

The old man with the

Black bowler hat speaks nothing

But epiphany.

2-

Streams are the rivers

Of conscience that we all

Play near as children.

3-

Rusty head bleeding,

He speaks carelessly like the

Late con-man Dutch Schultz.

4-

The virgin lying,

Waiting, asking for it,

Receiving nothing.

5-

Naked, nude, and clean,

Cover yourself up, my dear,

Here, please take my shirt.
