Prescient Truths of TomorrowA Poem by k.d. taylorA poem from my self-published collection "(interrobang) lament for lost time" available here: http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/straydogbluesPrescient truths of
tomorrow, -mad
cap insights- His bold overbearing swimming
in an ocean of foreshadow -Poet, prophet, painter, professional
dead man- His absurd theatrics have
gone unnoticed. Leave his lies unturned. For,
who knows what lurks there? Surely centipedes and worms, rolly pollies and creepy crawlies. For,
who knows what socks really go with that tie? Help me, please, I
seem to have gone colorblind.. What blind truths consume
you now? And
in how many bites? (How few?) What opens your eyes? Come
on then, tell me. Spill it. Then I’ll come along to
clean it back up. © 2014 k.d. taylor |
