Shepherd's Vixen

Shepherd's Vixen

A Poem by Dindella

In this place so far alone
And what this world we’ll never go
Over mountain and under fires
Herded now are sheep for hires
Walk where you will with sharp tredded feet
And know now vixen not to come to me
For I am the shepherd of the lamb
That follows my heart although I’m damned
And become what is a butterfly that I might
I still hear the silent woods throughout the night
And in this place and in this snow
Of that this harbored angel that I know
If my mind be lost I’ll never wake
But every breathe let us forever take
Hear me vixen hear me now
Let this be our final vow
To love and to hate be our signature words
But to choose only one in any nameless verse

Author's Note

Dindella
The meaning is entirely up to you and I'd love to hear what your translation is, why it means something to you or why it doesn't. The more in-depth the better, but that doesn't mean you have to write something really long and depthy if you don't want to. I appreciate any and all reviews. <3
