Fall to Pieces

Fall to Pieces

A Poem by Dindella

It’s not that I break away at all,

It’s just that I fall,

And in my broken ankles I crawl

For your eyes to notice,

Because without your call,

I couldn’t haul

Myself out of bed, and I struggle to draw

These images that cloud my vision.

And once again I’m exceedingly raw,

Ripping the throats out of my emotions with my crooked jaws,

Because without feeling, what am I but a broken law?

But still you don’t hear me.

An old wasted slaw,

Eyes missing the rot seeping through my teeth as I yawn,

And how you never saw what I saw as I fell apart,

I’ll never know.

Because you don’t listen with your eyes at all,

You f*****g doll.

Once upon a time, we made a cabal

That you’ve now broken.

It’s not that I mean to fall,

But there’s too much to hold me down and it’s curtain call.

Maybe we’re both renegades, after all,

Above all, and foremost.

I guess we’ll never know.

Author's Note

Dindella
I will almost never explain what my poetry means, since I don't want you to follow my meaning of it. The meaning is entirely up to you and I'd love to hear what your translation is, why it means something to you or why it doesn't. The more in-depth the better, but that doesn't mean you have to write something really long and depthy if you don't want to. I appreciate any and all reviews. <3
