In the era where they seek to kill love
They will do everything in their power to make sure it’s done
The one you love, they’re usually not enough
To the single, and prideful, and broken ones
They tell you you can do better
That this person is a dub
They try to drown your lover beneath the water
Before you can save them
And when feeling really sadistic
They’ll send in decoys
For cheap thrills, and cheap sex, and financial exploits
And by the time you catch on, you will have hurt your lover
By turning away, and recklessly placing your trust within another
