The man turns around to take me in a bit more. Finally, his arms drop beside his torso. He lifts his hands up in a jolly manner, as if discovering good news. Palms to the sky, as if he is both gracious and trustworthy.
"Now, it's about time I get a good look at you. Come closer dear." I struggle to make sense of what's been asked of me. I stand in the same spot, staring back at the man coyly. "I know you are too well mannered. Just as you've hesitated to ask for my name. Don't you even have an ounce of curiosity as to who I am? What this all could be about?" The man arches his eyebrow as he waits for my response. Suddenly, my mind draws a blink. I had been full of questions. But given the opportunity all of a sudden, it's like I forget how to speak. I stand bashfully before the man, too embarrassed to respond. "Diana, I know you." The man declares. In that moment, it feels as if he has grown insurmountably. I look at him with adoration. He commands attentions when he speaks. It's as if everything around me grows still, and all that can be felt is his presence. "I have watched you since you were a wee infant. I have seen your obstacles, your worries, your doubts, and your fears." I look down with shame. Thinking back to the most embarrassing things I could gauge in the moment, and wondering if he may have witnessed those events too. He comes closer to me and places a hand on my cheek. "I have also seen your moments of glory and salvation. Your seasons of redemption and vindication. You my dear, are divine." Tears begin to fill my eyes. It is almost as if the man is transferring his words into my body biorhythmically. I feel subdued, and all I could think to do is kneel before him. Suddenly, a white light begins to radiate from the man's body. A light so radiant that it nearly blinds. Wind gust begins to pick up again. And suddenly, it feels as if an earth quake is occurring. The man begins to recite something rather rhythmically. ""The wind goes north, south, and east The west leads us to the promise land. And the breeze? To the Mountain where he's standing. I believe he's not of the same planet." As he chants the words, the ground before me begins to crumble. The birds gawk and fly away. I begin to fall into the cracks of the ground that once carried me. I scream and do my best to maintain balance before I slowly begin to fall backwards. Suddenly, the ground, the river, and the trees are no longer. All I can see is blackness, as I fall downwards into what feels like a tunnel of wind. The wind is suffocating to the point where I struggle to breath. I begin to lose consciousness. As my eyes begin to fade out, I suddenly process the words the man just recited. My eyes widen as I suddenly find my second wind. "My song!"
