Modesty

Modesty

A Poem by Dina
"

Connecting through shared experiences

"
Tell me what's been stressing you?
Someone's been neglecting you?
Feeling you could care to use a hand.
Love, there is no pressure to
express, confess, digress the news.
Just tell me if I can do anything.

'Cause, strangely you remind me of a friend..
And that's why I'm inclined to hold your hand,
through these hurricanes.
I can feel your pain, it's a boat load.
You cannot arrange what you're dealt with.
But you can, too, reframe where your destiny
will be sure take you.

There's something you've been keeping to yourself.
And I am not the type to dig it out.
I find that forcing things never works out.
But just know I will be here when it counts.

I'm not the perfect substitute, no doubt.
But if it's someone that you're running from, I'll help.
I've had my experience with running by love.
I am quite experienced, let's take our time love.

I must say we're quite alike.
What'd you say I spend the night?
Would you say we did this right?
Come walk with me in this light.

This time this is love, for sure.
This time this is love, it's pure.
I cannot contain my excitement.
I cannot remain who I've been..
Now that I have you.
