![]() Reflections from the BackseatA Poem by Dina
Can I take a moment and unleash all that sits inside.
It's been years since I've seen pride walk by my side. With so much to confront, there's not much room for self delusion. So can I swim in your illusion until I make sense of this all? Since I was young I've worshiped hypnotist and mysticism. It's kind of fun how you just change directions without checking if seat belts are fastened. I see that sticking by you would be exploring the fast life. Whatever it is you do, just know that I'm falling madly in love. I would ask if this could be the last time, but I've got a bucket prepared for my watery eyes. So don't feel pressured love. I'll get the handcuffs, just please don't forget to untie me when you're done. This is watered down love. You've created stories in me. Drowned in bottles just to forget what pulled me down the most. Thought it wouldn't hurt as much if I pretended that men like you even took interest in women of my caliber. I hope you marked your calendar. The 28th would make it 8 with you. Hate to have to cut to the chase with you.. Perhaps we can renew this later. I'm sorry, but there are things I ought to do.
